LCM Song of The Day: ‘Halt The Wagons’ - Kate Rusby

Our featured track is the beautiful and haunting ‘Halt The Wagons’ by Kate Rusby. It is taken from Kate’s brand new album ‘Philosophers, Poets and Kings’ recently released on May 17th. The song was written by Kate to commemorate the 180th anniversary of the Huskar Pit Disaster where 26 children aged from 7-17 from a local village lost their lives. It was filmed and recorded with 15 boys and 11 girls aged 7-17 from Barnsley Youth Choir.
