Herefordshire born award-winning Country singer-songwriter and huge Disney fan Sasha has recently relocated to the heart of Country music Nashville to follow her dreams. From singing in the shopping trolley when she was 2, to singing all over the US and the UK, Sasha says that 'music is her life'. Born in a small, rural city in England, Sasha garnered a love of Country music from her Father who used to "dance me around the living room to CMT when I was just 18 months old." With a strong passion and ear for music she began playing keyboard at age 10 and writing songs in the years that followed: "Songwriting is extremely important to me, I cherish every song I write because each one is so personal; they're like rhyming diary entries." As well as keyboard, Sasha plays acoustic guitar and recently added the banjo to her repertoire of instruments.

Her professional music journey started in July 2012 when she took a two week trip to Nashville, with a plan to perform just a handful of shows. What resulted was two weeks of solid bookings at venues such as Tootsies Orchid Lounge, The Rutledge, The Bluebird and various others up and down Broadway. The reception she received meant Sasha, subsequently returned to Nashville numerous times for extended periods in 2012 and 2013.

In the US, Sasha has completed three successful tours performing on the main stage at some of the biggest country music festivals (including Country Jam, Taste of Country and Country Stampede), opening for artists such as Dustin Lynch and Thompson Square in addition to performing her own headline shows. One of the highlights in her career, so far, came in April 2014 when she was chosen to perform at The Academy of Country Music Award Kick-Off Party in Las Vegas. Sasha opened the show, headlined by Hunter Hayes. Owing to the high-profile nature of the event, Sasha was interviewed by numerous television networks and performed for some, including Fox5 KVVU, ABC13 KTNV, CBS and GAC.

Sasha’s music has also been making an impact on “home-turf” in the UK. She was chosen as “Best of the Best” by BBC Introducing on BBC Radio and in 2016 won “Female Vocalist of the Year” at the UKCountryRadio Awards. In April last year, Sasha embarked on her first extensive tour of the UK and Ireland, which was co-headlined by American singer/songwriter Sonia Leigh. The tour and Sasha’s performances welcomed five star reviews from the press and lead to her going out on a headline tour of the UK in September where numerous dates sold out. She has also performed at various festivals across Great Britain, including the prestigious Hay Festival, where she sold out and was invited to perform live and be interviewed on BBC Radio 3’s “The Verb” alongside Stephen Fry.

All these achievements, at home and across the pond, can be attributed to her determination, vibrant personality, unique voice and talent as a songwriter. The latter two can be seen and heard in the success of her critically-acclaimed debut album, ‘I Stand Alone’, released in June 2015. The album, funded via Kickstarter, was nominated for “Album of the Year” at the British Country Music Association Awards, where Sasha was also nominated for “Female Vocalist of the Year”.

In 2016, Sasha kicked things into an even higher gear. Having an extensive US and Canadian tour planned to begin in June, Sasha decided to start the year off by releasing a brand new single, which had been recorded in Nashville in November 2015. 'When I'm Over You' was an immediate success. It was debuted by Bob Harris on his BBC Radio 2 show and was added to the 'Wild Country Playlist' on Spotify, subsequently ammassing over 100,000 streams in 3 weeks. To promote the single, Sasha toured the UK and, for the first time, Europe, receiving acclaim from critics and concert-goers. As of November 2016, 'When I'm Over You' has reached over half a million streams on Spotify and, owing to its success, was put back on the 'Wild Country Playlist' by head of music programming, John Marks.

A lot has been accomplished in the short time Sasha has been pursuing a music career professionally and these achievements are the result of persistence and being extremely talented. Sasha has been named as “one to watch” and an artist “on the brink of a breakthrough” by Taste of Country and The Boot. "These past few years have been part of a journey, a journey that's far from over. I feel incredibly blessed for all the opportunities that continue to present themselves and for the support of my fans, friends and family. There's a lot to look forward to in 2017 and I just can't wait to get started!”

Sasha is currently working on and recording on her second studio album. But needs your help to complete it. If you are interested in taking part in the 'Kickstarter Campaign' please click the link below.
