The Henry Girls are a marvellous trio of three sisters from Malin:  Karen, Lorna and Joleen McLaughlin. They are great songwriters and have gorgeous super-tight three-part blood harmonies. They are one of our favourite groups here at LCM and it is always a pleasure to see them perform live. They have aslo contributed backup vocals to Mary Black's album 'Stories from the Steeples' and collaborated with Session Americana, Dónal Lunny, Moya Brennan, Jennifer Kimball, and The Fox Hunt.

The Henry Girls formed their trio over 10 years ago and named it after their grandfather. They released their debut album 'Between Us' in 2003 which was produced by Máire Breatnach. They released their third album 'Dawn' in 2010 and that year they were nominated for an Irish Film and Television Award for Best Original Score for the film 'A Shine of Rainbows', which featured songs from the album 'Dawn'. Great other albums worth exploring are December Moon (2011) and Louder than Words (2014)

Donegal sisters The Henry Girls, whose exquisite three-part vocals interweave their native traditions with bluegrass, jazz and country, are one of Ireland’s top emerging folk acts. With the harp as their main accompaniment, their shimmering harmonies weave a continuous spell throughout their music.
