The discovery of a fiddle with an extremely poignant story behind it is the focus of a new show touring the UK. When musician Sam Sweeney bought a violin made in the Great War he realised he had stumbled upon a story that had waited nearly 100 years to be told.
Filmed in Woods Cemetery, Belgium. Sam plays The Last Post on his violin which started to be carved in 1915 by Richard S Howard (who was killed in Flanders before returning home to finish it) and was finally finished by Roger Claridge nearly a century later.
