Anna Kendrick is an American actress and singer. She began her career as a child actor in theater productions. Her first prominent role was in the 1998 Broadway musical High Society, which earned her a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Anna rose to prominence for her supporting role in The Twilight Saga (2008–12), the blockbuster film franchise based on Stephenie Meyer’s book series of the same name. She went on to earn widespread acclaim for her performance in Up in the Air (2009), including an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
